MASSACHUSETTS GARAGE DOORS BLOG

Success Storied January 2024

I would like to share with you some of our recent success stories and give you some real-life experiences that our clients had.

I gathered here a few of our recent jobs across Massachusetts.

Gigi from Dorchester contacted us by email, complaining that her garage door no longer goes up or down with the opener. She explained she needed to open the door manually. Her concern was also regarding the door going off the trucks, and she was afraid for her safety if the door would fall.

I understood her concerns, and I arrived on the scene the next day. When I arrived on the scene, I found out that her garage door was totally off the tracks, and the tracks were disconnected from the wall. The fact that the tracks were unaligned caused the whole door to be hanging in the air. I reconnected the tracks to the wall and put the door back on tracks.

Roupen from Waltham called with concern about a broken spring. I recently replaced both springs and when I did the routine checkup of all the other components of the garage door, I found out that the cables were in a bad shape. So, before Roupen had another disaster on his hands, I replaced the cables, lubricated the system, and made sure all was running smoothly. I’m not just fixing the current problem; I’m trying to check that the whole system is in good shape and trying to prevent future repairs if possible.

Preventing future repairs goes hand in hand with routine maintenance. I realize that most people are not going to do routine maintenance. Most of us, and I’m one of them, will act only when things do not work. A lot of the time, by then, there is more than one thing to replace, and the service call is more expensive.

Another successful repair job was for David in Westborough. David contacted us to fix his garage door that is not operational. The arm of the opener got disconnected from the garage door. Our skilled technician worked swiftly and efficiently to reattach the arm, lubricate the mechanism, and ensure smooth operation of the garage door. In addition, reprogram the remote control and the keypad.

Another thing is a new opener installation not only fixing the old ones. Peter from Needham called and explained that his opener was not working. He still can hear the motor of the opener running, but the pullies are not moving. He also said that he wants to know if it is fixable, but he is really thinking of replacing the old opener with a newer version.

When I arrived on the scene, I saw that his opener was really old, and even if I could fix it, I could not guarantee it would hold much longer.

So, with my recommendation, Peter just got a brand new Liftmaster opener to replace his old one. He also got new keypads, remotes, and new sensors. Now the door is operating smoothly, and Peter has a better sense of security.  And Peter knows that he gets a lot more use from the new opener than trying to fix the old one.
